Mai rozgaar ke silsile me....
kabhi kabhi uske shaher jata hu....
to guzarta hu us gali se.........
wo neem-tariq si gali...
aur usike nukkad pe mota purana sa ik khambha.
usi k niche...
tamam shab intezaar karke..
main chod aaya tha shaher uska..
bahot hi khasta si roshni ko teke..
wo khambha aaj bhi wahi khada hai.
futur hai...magar....
main us khambhe ke paas jakar...
nazar bachake mohallewalo ki...
puch leta hu aaj bhi ye.
ki....
mere jaane k bad bhi.....
wo aayi to nahi thi........?
wo aayi thi kya..............?

Beautiful poem by Gulzar ji.
I think its from the album "Kab aate ho".
He is simply the best contemporary poet around..
You are quite right.I am impressed by the simplicity of his words,which touches our soul so deeply..
